We are able to offer many services to the commercial forestry industry, including mechanised thinning, motor-manual thinning, clearfell, windblow restitution, halo thinning and specialist small scale extraction.

All of our staff and sub-contractors are fully qualified, and experienced working in a commercially driven fast paced foresty environment and can offer services individually tailored to our clients needs.

Highland Forestry Ltd currently cut approximatley 7000t of small roundwood per annum for a number of clients including, but not limited to; Sawmills, Fencing Suppliers, Forestry Management Companies, End User and other markets.

We are able to assume the role of Forest Works Manager, Principal Contractor or Sub-Contractor and are happy to take on projects ranging from small thinnings to larger clear fells.

We specialise in small scale low-impact forestry thinnings, which are ideally suited to direct production contracts for farms and estates as well as smaller parcels not necessarily commercialy viable for the use of larger scale mechanised harvesting methods.

As well as mainstream connifer thinning, we also carry out specialised broadleaf and hardwood thinnings, selective fell thinnings and non native removals.
